Moods Hotel Prague

If you are planning on visiting the romantic city of Prague, Moods hotel should be on top of your list of hotels to stay in.

This lovely Design Hotel is conveniently located just 1 minute’s walk from the Moldau River, 10 minutes walk from Old Town square and Republic squares, and 15 minutes from the beautiful Charles Bridge and Wenceslas square.

It is an establishment that has placed great emphasis on atmospheric spaces whether in the rooms or public areas. As its name suggests, ‘Moods’ are certainly created here by the absolute control of light fixtures and dimmers in the rooms. Soft neon colour schemes can be blended according to your Moods creating a warm and rather pleasant ambience throughout your room. Strategically placed behind the headboard, you can decide how high or low you like them to be, and we had great fun playing with them.

The rooms are comfortable and nicely sized to accommodate all your needs while there. The beds are all supersize kings and handmade from Hästens Sweden. The bathrooms have bathtubs with showers and great-top class toiletries you can indulge in.

We particularly liked the fun and witty quotes written above the bed that seemed like a projection from the opposite walls.

This projected quote theme was also outside all of the rooms, and it definitely added style. While it was designed with simplicity in mind, it added authenticity to the hotel.

Summers in the city…403

We had a high floor room, and we enjoyed the partial views of the Moldau River outside our window and the snow-covered streets.

The Lobby was spacious with comfortable sofas that enveloped the pillars around the Reception area as well as various other sitting corners.

The staff at the Front Desk were very helpful and always polite and attentive. I am a big fan of the Front office having low – work desks with armchairs that you can actually sit down and do the Check-in process, rather than the typical, high desk bars that you have to lean on at most hotels. It also makes for a more personal, friendly approach and a pleasure to talk to the people helping you.

We have to thank Elena, Pier and Martina for being really helpful, friendly and professional during our entire stay.

There was a good variety of breakfast food to choose from in Buffet style that was well stocked. Again the staff here were super friendly and made sure that there was always enough of everything in the buffet. Really enjoyed the conservatory breakfast room that made for a very pleasant awakening and start of your day.

I could not miss the opportunity to talk about the Spa in Moods Hotel.

Having booked directly with the hotel gave us the perk of having a half hour’s Thai Massage for free.

We were quite eager to try this type of massage, not having experienced it before. So we booked it towards the end of our 4 night stay, just so we would give our bodies a good, stretched out treat for the continuation of our journey.

Our masseuse was Pena and she was there to greet us and ask us a few typical questions before the massage. I have to admit that the half hour that we surrendered ourselves to her was the most vigorous, energised and revitalising times of our lives. Pena knew every inch of human anatomy. Where to put pressure, how far to stretch your entire body, (she literally had us tied in a knot), and for how long to keep the pressure points going. Needless to say that we felt brand new afterwards. I was certain I must have grown at least 2 inches taller too. Pena is an asset to Moods Hotel Spa.

It is the first Apple Multimedia Hotel in Czech Republic and for those of you owning an iPod or iPhone, the hotel’s public spaces make it possible to listen to music and use your own device.
